Receive Goods from Suppliers – In order to receive goods from suppliers, warehouse operatives need to be able to communicate effectively with customers and vendors. They should also be able to read and understand documents such as invoices and packing lists. 

Sort Goods by Type or Size – It’s important for warehouse operatives to sort goods according to type or size. This will help them determine what needs to be done next. For example, if an item has been damaged, they should place it aside until it can be repaired. If the item is too big to fit into a box, they should put it in a separate bin. 

Pack Goods into Boxes – Once items have been sorted, they need to be packed into boxes. This involves using tape, labels, and packing materials to make sure everything fits inside the box.
